Happy New Year!

In about six hours, 2012 will finally be here.  I won't lie.  I am glad 2011 is almost over.  This year has had more downs than ups.   One thing I am thankful for is that I learned who my true friends are. I now know who will always have my back and be able to trust 100%. Please be good to me 2012 and keep my husband safe on his deployment and my daughter healthy.  Anyways, enough of my ramblings.  Onto my 2012 New Year's Resolutions...

  • Forgiveness.  Regardless of what has happened, I will forgive those who have done me wrong in the past.  (I know I have done others wrong too.  No one is perfect.)  I will not waste my life being angry.  Life is too short for that.
  • Stop judging.  I admit I was one of those who automatically judges someone based on something I saw/heard about a person.  But I soon learned that if you don't know the entire story as to why they did what they did, you have no right to judge.
  • Keep that mouth shut.  I am the type of person who trust someone very VERY easily.  With that I tend to babble on and on about anything and everything.  Now I realized I must censor what I say.  There are just some things others should not know.
  • Maintain a healthy life.  Just recently I began to exercise more and watch what I eat.  I still have a sweet tooth but it isn't as bad as before.  I also need to eat more fruits and veggies.
  • Exercise, exercise, exercise.  No more excuses!  I will workout for a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 7 days.  Whenever I workout, I will run a mile at the least.  My weight limit will be 117 lbs.
  • Think positive.  It is so much better being optimistic than pessimistic.  Bad things will happen in life, but I won't waste time/tears over it.  I have all that I need in life to be happy.
  • Keep busy!  With 2012 being the year for my hubby's deployment, I need to keep myself busy.  I plan to find myself a job, work on my blog more, spend as much time as I can with my daughter, family and friends.
  • Save money.  I plan to save like I've never saved before.
  • Bye bye starbucks.  This is a weird resolution, but I decided to not drink any starbucks coffee (except for their waters).
  • Mmmm...chocolate and ice cream.  I was planning to also go on a no-chocolate/ice cream diet, but I think that might be too much for me.  SO!  I will just have chocolate and ice cream once a week.  Bwahahaha.
  • Caffeine.  My husband absolutely LOVES diet coke.  Being around him, I tend to drink it almost every day.  But my goal will be to limit that.  By the end of the year, I plan to drink soda just once a week or not at all.  It's usually hard to go cold turkey, so I'll gradually get to that.  I'll just start by drinking soda once every other day.
That's all of the resolutions I can think of right now...  If I think of more I will add it to my list.  Anyways, I hope you all had a great 2011.  Stay safe tonight and I'll see you all in 2012!  Take care.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope you all had a good holiday.  My family and I did not really do anything yesterday except for some winter cleaning and watching movies.  We finally watched "Love & Other Drugs" and watched some of our favorites movies, "Serendipity" and "When Harry Met Sally."  Unfortunately we did not have any gifts to open because we opened them all back in HI before we had to fly back to SD due to limited amount of space in our luggage.  But that is okay.  I really do not need a lot of gifts.  Having my family together is all I need.  My daughter did give me the best gift though.  After days of fighting with her to drink from a sippy cup, she finally did it!  I was so ecstatic.  You probably think that is lame, but trust me, it was not.  I was so proud of her.  She is growing up so fast in front of my eyes.  I wish I could slow time down.  *sigh*  But anyways, I just wanted to wish you all Happy Holidays!

Not much progress

So I have been slacking on keeping record of my food intake the past few days.  But it really does not matter since I do not even workout aside from walking (around the mall haha), chasing around my 1 year old, and constantly carrying her in my arms.  I started to feel bad about it but then my husband said he has not been losing weight either so I feel a little better now.  Plus, with Thanksgiving less than a week away, I know for sure I will not succeed at my 10 lb weight lost.  I do not really mind though.  I will just gradually work on this instead of trying to rush it.

Family Rant/Vent Session

Back in SD, whenever my daughter is sleepy, my husband and I would just put her in her crib and leave her there so she could teach herself how to go to sleep on her own.  Now that we're in HI, my parents don't approve/agreed of the way we put Alyssa to sleep.  But yet they can't seem to handle her and don't know how to make her go to bed on their own.  They always resort to calling me to do it.  Why are they so stubborn to change their ways?!  I get so frustrated with my parents.

I'm also supposed to start working on Thursday and since it is the holiday season chances are I will be working late nights.  So who will they call then to put Alyssa to sleep?  I'm thinking of just turning the job down.  I hate this.  I wish there was a way for me to just work from home so I could be a stay at home mother, housewife, and working woman.

Aside from this sleeping issue, I also hate the fact that my mom is trying to teach my own daughter to call me by my nickname, which my family always uses, instead of mommy.  Seriously?!  You're gonna do that to my child?  If so, it just makes me not want to come back to this stupid rock.

I really hate this place sometimes.

Drama? No, Thank You.

I am exhausted and fed up that you just cannot let this old, drawn-out drama go.  One minute you apologize and act nice, the next you say that you will not let the past go and then you change your mind and you talk about moving on from this mess, and etc etc.  It is like you cannot choose if you want to stay angry or be happy.  You know what you are?  A bipolar delusional hypocrite.  You are just up and down so much, no one can keep up anymore.  I tried to make peace, but you turned it down.  I will not try again because obviously you thrive on this drama.

I had my moment of being angry at you, but I am done.  I am not saying I forgive you for everything, but I can let it all go and be civil when and if I ever see you again.  All I ask of you is to stop bringing EVERYONE into this.  I understand that you want to tell them your side, but remember there are two sides to every story.  If you need to talk to someone, go see a therapist because that is what you need.  OR shocker of shock, if you actually want to know the truth, come to me so we can let it all out.  If you want to keep on like how you have been doing, then good luck living with it all.

The bet!

I am sorry for neglecting my personal blog as much as I have.  But I found a way to keep this blog going.  So my husband will be leaving once again for the Navy.  It is not too long of an underway but we still hate it when we are apart.  Instead of being sad, my husband and I found a way to just keep busy while bettering ourselves.

We created a bet to see who could lose 10 pounds first.  I figured I will use my blog to help me keep track of the food I eat and workout regimen.  I have been stagnant at 112 lbs so I want to get back to 103 or even better 100 lbs.  I have been real bad at eating healthy and working out.  I don't except this bet to really help me much, but it is a start.

~~~~~~~~
I forgot to update yesterday so here's my food list of what I had.  Now I'm not doing calorie counts or any of that nonsense so I don't need you to judge what I eat.
2 McDonald's Breakfast Burrito
1 Hawaiian Airlines Complimentary Meal (Breakfast Burrito and muffin)
2 small cups of Guava Juice
Lots of water
Lots of mom's cooking of Sari-Sari >.<
Halloween 2011
This turned out to be a great halloween!  We got to spend it all together as a family.  It was also the first halloween for hubby and I together.  So it was very special.  Last night we took our daughter to the Mission Valley Pumpkin Station to pick our her first pumpkin.
The selection was actually real good compared to what I though since it was not at an actual farm.
Pumpkins!
Mommy Pumpkin, Daddy Pumpkin, Baby Pumpkin.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!
Damnit!
I can't sleep..  It's past midnight.  I was tired earlier but then I did some reading and is wide awake now.  I figured I should blog since I have not updated my personal blog in forevers!  I think another reason I can't sleep is because I always get so anxious when I'll hear from my husband again.  I love that he emails me everyday but the department of sending them out is so damn slow.  Oh wells.  I don't mind especially since he is the only guy on his boat who sends emails to me everyday and vice versa.
Anyways, I hope you are all doing well.  I'm sorry about being so MIA here, but if anything you can always catch me on my beauty blog (www.dgsbeauty.com) since I update every few days.  <333
R.I.P Grandma Linda (09/14/11)
Sorry for all of the depressing posts.  This does not seem to be a good month.  I am not sure if you all remember, but I wrote a post about my grandma before (Click here).  She finally lost her battle with cancer yesterday.  My mom just called to tell me.  But I'm glad she passed away back in her home (Philippines).  Rest in peace, grandma.  Thank you for everything you have done for me and all the beautiful dresses you made for me and my bridesmaids.  We will always remember you.
Haha, our trip to Kauai in Oct' 09.
R.I.P. Great GrandFather (09/10/11)
Today my brother texted me that our great grandfather (my grandmother's dad) passed away.  He lived a long and happy life.  I still remember visiting him in the hospital last year.  Apparently he had a blood transfusion yesterday and was doing fine.  But today when the nurse went to check on him he was unconscious...  I know he is in a better place now.  We will forever miss you, apo. <3  Rest in peace.
Happy 10 Months, Princess!
Yesterday my babygirl turned 10 months. When she was a newborn I wished she would hurry up and get bigger so I could play with her more.  But now I wish she was still that tiny little girl I just gave birth time.  Time is moving so quick.  In no time she'll start to walk and talk in complete sentences.
Other good news, hubby finally came home.  He left on when she turned 9 months so I'm happy he made it back in time for her 10 months.
Weaning Breastfeeding
So I have been exclusively breastfeeding my daughter for almost 10 months, but just recently decided to stop. It was not because I could no longer produce milk, it is because I was stupid and lost my pump's charger.  There is no place that I could buy another locally.  Even if I were to order a new one, who knows when it would come in.  I am not about to go out and buy another $400 pump, which I probably will use for just a few months.
Breastfeeding has been great for me because I was able to shed off my pregnancy weight and then some!  But it is a bit of an inconvenience.  I love how easy it is to make formula.  No hassle whatsoever.  I am glad to have breastfed as long as I have, but now that I am done I just have a question.  For any of you who breastfed, once you stopped did you gain weight quick?  That is something I am afraid of.  I know I have to eat healthy anyways, but I just want to know your experience.
To go or not to go..
From what my husband is telling me via emails, there are rumors he will be gone again for a month around october/november-ish.  Originally, in october, he was just supposed to be gone for two weeks, home in time for his daughter's first birthday, then out again for a week.  I really liked that schedule just because he would be able to celebrate her birthday especially since he missed her birth last year.
Anyways, hearing that he might be gone for a month (I know it is not that long), my husband offered to send me back home to Hawaii.  With it just for a month I would not even think about going back, just to save money, but seeing that it is around the time of her birthday it would be nice to celebrate it with family and friends..  I am not sure what to do.  So I'll do a pro and con list.
Going to Hawaii
Pros:
Celebrating her first bday together
Get gifts/money to put in my daughter's college fund from the party
Spending time with family and friends
Will not be alone for a month
Parents will get to spend more time with my daughter
Cons:
Alyssa will be more fussy/difficult traveling since she is more active
Stressing out about planning her bday party (invitations, entertainment, guests)
Drama with family and friends
Spending $500+ on a plane ticket
Spending A LOT money hanging out with friends
Staying in SD
Cons:
I will be in my own home without parents telling me what to do
Be able to save more money
Hanging out with friends
Pros:
LONELY
I don't know what to do...  I just had to vent/let this out.
I'm done, son!
After two years, I finally completed my Master's degree.  I can't wait to show my husband my diploma to make it official.  I do consider going for my doctorate, but at the same time..idk.  We shall see.  =)
I hate fast attack submarines!
So the navy has two different types of submarines: a boomer and fast attack.  For the boomers, they usually have a set schedule when they go in and out of sea.  Whereas the fast attack, you never know when they'll leave.  The schedule is ALWAYS changing.  I'm sure you can guess from my title that my husband is on a fast attack.  *sigh*  I really hate it when the Navy changes dates on us.  I know all I can do is just wait patiently for his return but it gets frustrating and lonely at times.  I just need to keep telling myself that we have five years left.
Update
Hey everyone.  Sorry for slacking with my personal blog.  I have been mainly focusing on my beauty blog and spending as much time as I could with my hubby while he was on land.  Today he left to go underway for about a month.  The first few days are always the hardest, but it will get better.  Today I had to drop him off at work around 7am.  Then once I got home he called me saying to come back and pick him up because he did not have to go in until 10am.  It was nice getting a few more hours with him even though saying goodbye again sucked.  Plus, today our babygirl turned 9 months so I am happy Alyssa was awake and got to play with her daddy for a bit this morning.
For this month that he is gone I already got a few things planned (many thanks to my fellow navy wives).  We have a lot of get togethers to pass the time by quickly.  Also, my family will be coming up to the mainland in two weeks.  I am excited for them because it will be my parents first time EVER to the mainland.  First they will be flying to Vegas with our other relatives to visit my cousin then road trip it up to me.  From SD, we will all drive to Bakersfield for a family reunion.  Once the reunion is done we will all split up. Dad will go back to Vegas with his siblings, Mom will come back with me to my place in SD then we will fly to Kansas to visit her siblings, and my brother will go to Florida with my cousins to go to DisneyWorld.
Thank goodness for family and friends!  <3
New baby bag!
Lately, when I go out with my daughter I will just put all of her things into my purse.  And it is A LOT of things (diapers, baby wipes, extra clothes, socks, bib, blanket, washcloth, etc).  Even though my purse is huge to carry everything, whenever I try to search for things it takes me forevers to locate it.  My purse feels like a black hole.  So today I decided to buy her a backpack just for her own stuff.  Of course, I wanted something pink so I went straight for the Hello Kitty items at NEX.  Thankfully I found this backpack that also matches her bottle cooler!  (Yay!  I'm so OCD that I need things to match).
Originally it was $24, but with the NEX 24% off of Hello Kitty items, it came out to $18.  Score!  I love shopping with sale items.
How did you organize your baby/kid's stuff?  Do you use a backpack also?
Here's a random picture of my babygirl.  I always things it's so cute when I see her nose sweat.  It reminds me of my husband.  Like father like daughter.
Happy Father's Day!
I really wish my husband was here to celebrate his first father's day but he's out serving his country right now.  I just wanted to wish my husband, dad, and dad-in-law a happy father's day.  As well as to your dads!  =)
Crybaby...
My daughter is almost 8 months and now she's getting to the phase where if she doesn't see me anywhere near her, even if it's just for a minute, she'll start to cry.  *sigh*  It makes it much more harder to do anything since she wants me by her side 24/7.  Thankfully though if she's with my parents or brother she'll be fine.  So at night I get a little break and some alone time.  She's also at the stage if someone she doesn't know carries her she will cry...  she may not cry right away but eventually she will.  First she'll start to pout then the tears will start rolling down her face.  The joys of motherhood.  Lol.
Pet Peeve!
You know what really pisses me off?!  Inconsiderate shady people!  I'm still so heated from earlier today.  I can't stand anyone.  You never know who to trust or who your true friends are nowadays.  What a great world we live in right?  Ha.
Sorry just had to vent.  That is all.
Phone call!
Well, I didn't get my phone call yet but knowing that I'll get to talk to my husband real soon is making feel all giddy inside.  I saw a guy from his boat update his fb status, so thankfully that means they landed in their destination safely.  I can't wait to hear his voice.  And it'd be even more amazing if he has access to wifi so we could do facetime.  *fingers crossed*  That my most favorite feature of our iphones.  It beats have to lug around a laptop just we could video chat.  I know it's only been less than two months since I've talked to him but it really does feel like I've been waiting forever.  I can't imagine with six+ months will feel like..  But anyways, now to play the waiting game for my phone call.  I got my phone next to me at all times and on the highest volume possible.  =D
Please pray
Today my mom, aunty, daughter and I went to visit one of my grandmothers.  I have heard that she has not been feeling well but never thought much of it.  However, today when I finally saw her it hit me how serious this is.  She has cancer (I am not too sure which because I would have teared up if I had found out more about it).  It was painful seeing her so weak and unhealthy.  I had to do my best to hold back my tears.  Can you believe, she only weighs 76 lbs...  She is practically just skin and bones.  I really wanted her to be able to hold my daughter (who weighs 18 lbs) because it was the first time they have met.  But Alyssa was too heavy for her to carry.  I really hope that she gets better soon!  She's such a good person and very talented!  She loves to sew clothes.  In the picture below, she made all of my bridesmaids and flower girls' dresses from scratch!  How gifted, right?  Please pray for her.
Finally killed my craving!
Ever since I came back home to Hawaii I've been craving for Thelma's dish the Thelma Special!  I know it may not look that good but to me I think it's all that and a bag of potato chips!  YUM!  I already ate half of it.  I'll most likely eat the rest for dinner tonight.
Halfway Through!
In about a month I'll finally get to see him again.  I can't wait.  And he just emailed me saying to expect a phone call in a few days!  If you see me, my phone will practically be glued to my hand because I will NOT miss that phone call.  I'm glad I've had my family and friends during this time.  They really help me out especially when I miss him so.  Just a few more years of this and he won't have to leave us anymore!  =)
Yay!
I'm so happy.  Blogger finally got my new link working for my beauty blog.  Check me out at dgsbeauty.com, girls!  =D
2 down, 5 to go!
So if you guys recall, my friends and I decided to do our own version of "lent" (Here's the post).  We started the bet almost two weeks ago and I've already lost two pounds.  I'm so happy.  Just five pounds to go.  Once I reach my goal weight of 105 lbs I'll be able to reward myself with some new clothes.  Haha.  =D
Cable bills.
Lately I've been talking a lot to my sister-in-law about finances and it got me thinking of bills we are currently paying and if I could get the company to cut down on a few things.  I'm currently in Hawaii for a few months (away from our San Diego apartment).  Last month we got billed about $110 from Time Warner on cable/internet we aren't even using.
So I decided to google if the company had an option of putting our cable on hold. Lo and behold they had something called "Seasonal status," which is basically putting your cable/internet/phone on hold for a min of 2 months (max of 6 months).  I know I'll probably be home by 2 months but I wanted to see if maybe they could backtrack the seasonal so I could get reimbursed for some of last month's billing.  I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier.  (I feel so stupid!)   Unfortunately, when I called they said they couldn't backtrack and if I do the seasonal and go home earlier than expected there's no way to take the hold off.  I didn't like that girl so I hung up and called again in hope of talking a nicer lady.  (I always do that.  Lol.)
At my next attempt, this lady was much nicer.  She told me I could do the 2 month seasonal and if I do get back by August 4th, I just have to call 24 hours in advance and they'll take the code off of my cable box.  (They better or I'll be pissed!)  So now instead of expecting a billing of $100ish this month it should be $10!  Can you believe the price difference.  Now I'll always make sure to call the cable company whenever I go to Hawaii so we don't have money taken out for a service we don't use.
Brainy Baby Haul
So yesterday I got a visit from the UPS guy.  When I heard him say he had a package for me I started freaking out wondering what I had bought because I just couldn't remember.  I could hear it now, my husband laughing/scolding me for buying a useless item, but it was educational items I bought for my daughter!  I was very relieved.
Anyways, a few weeks ago Hautelook listed a sale for Brainy Baby items, which I really wanted to get for my daughter.  I've never heard of the brand, but apparently it's similar (or maybe even better) than Baby Einstein.  So I ordered one of their package deals, which was two books (shapes & colors and animals), two flashcards (123s and ABCs) and four DVDs (all each topic stated).  I know my daughter is still young to understand all of this, but I wanted to give it a try.  =D  Here's a few pictures from my haul.
Have you mamas ever tried these educational items for your child?  Do you think they work?
Happy Memorial Day (2011)!
Today my daughter and I headed to the Navy Exchange and Pearlridge Mall to do some shopping.  This picture shows her first time sitting in a shopping cart.  I know it's nothing big, but I was a proud parent.  Haha.  I only wished my husband was here to share on all the "firsts" our daughter has been doing since he's been gone.  I understand it comes with the territory of being active duty but it does get depressing at times...
Anyways, I really wish I was able to celebrate today with my husband, but right now he's out there serving his country.  I just wanted to thank everyone who made blog posts for those in the military.  =)  I hope you all had a good Memorial Day.
Back to Shokudo!
Tonight my cousin, Lerma, and I had a date night.  It's been over a year since we hung out together so it was nice catching up.  I obviously love Shokudo and she's never been there so I had to bring her.  Lol.
I had their spicy miso ramein.
She got the veggie soy ramein.
And for dessert was the delicious honey toast!  Yum.
Thanks again to my sister-in-law!
Even though I've been on blogger for about two months or so, I am still new to figuring out how to make my page better/prettier/etc.  But thanks to my sister-in-law, JC (<-- you should definitely check out how beauty blog!) she's been a lot of help with showing me how to fix up my page.  <333
Wordpress?
Does anyone here have a wordpress account?  I was talking to my cousin, Lerma about other places on the net that I could blog on and she mentioned this site.  So I decided to create an account, but for some reason it seems very confusing to me.  (Am I just slow?!  Lol)  But I'm just wondering if any of you gave wordpress a try?  How do you like it?  I wanted to use it to make another (or my main beauty blog instead of my D.G.S.Beauty blog).  The only thing that really intrigued me is being able to create my own domain and choosing between .com, .net. or .org.  It's $17 a year ($7 more than blogger).  I do love blogger though.  I can't decide...
I love Zippys!
On today's menu is Zippy's mini korean chicken plate and an ensemada!  Some of my faves.  I wish the mainland had a Zippy's.  *sigh*  But I'm happy I finally got to eat an ensemada.  The past few times I had gone they were already sold out of it!  Yummy.
Be careful who you trust!
The only person I can completely trust is my husband.  Everyone else seems to have turned on me one time or another.
Target and Mail Drop
Tonight my friend and I headed to Target so I could get a few pictures developed.  To kill some time we walked around and I and I found these cute sandals for my daughter.  They were also having a BOGO sale!  I got a size 2 and 3 since my daughter will most likely get bigger pretty quick.  They're so cute and I love that they're pink!
Anywho, the pictures I got developed at Target took less than an hour.  Now that I got the pictures I'm all set to get my husband's envelope ready.  Sometimes when they are underway us wives/girlfriends have a "mail drop."  That's basically getting to send our husband's an 8x11" envelope filled with letters, pictures, etc.  My husband requested a fitness and money magazine along with new pictures of his daughter and I.  Since Father's day is coming up and he'll still be gone I decided to throw in his first Father's day card.  I'll also include a letter.  I'm so excited to get this done and send it to our Ombudsman back in SD so she can sent it off to the boat.  I'm glad that he'll get to see pictures of his daughter standing, eating new foods, etc.  He misses out on so many things being in the Navy.  But I'm gonna do my best to keep him up to date on everything going on in our life.
Fun day at the dentist
Today I had a cleaning at my dentist.  I love how my teeth feels after a cleaning.  Haha.  But I always dread going to the dentist because I'm afraid they'd tell me I have cavities again.  But today was different.  I have none!  I couldn't believe it.  Lol.  I love sweets and eat it every single day.  Anywho, usually when I go to the dentist they have a movie playing.  Today was G.I. Joe.  Woot!  I like that movie only for one reason...Byung-Hun Lee.
I've always had a thing for Koreans.  I'm not sure why.  But isn't he yummy?!  I haven't been keeping up with the newer Korean Dramas so I don't know any new actors, but this guy will always be one of my favorites.  I loved him in Beautiful Days and All In (especially because his opposite was my favorite actress Hye-Kyo Song)
All I can say is DAMN!  ;)
Seven pounds goal!
Originally my goal weight was to be 110 lbs after I gave birth to my daughter.  I was determined to get back to that weight, especially after being at my highest weight of 150 lbs when I was pregnant.  But now I changed that target weight to 105 lbs!  My husband didn't want me to get too thin, but it seems to be okay with him as long as I "keep my curves."  So silly.  Anyways, with my "lent" just starting, I'm positive I'll be able to reach my goal in no time.  I've had cravings to have starbucks, soda, chocolate and ice cream today but I resisted.  It'll be hard to just stop cold turkey, but not impossible.
Today I went shopping with one of my friends and found a pair of jeans on sale.  It was a size 0.  I haven't been able to fit into those since high school/college years.  I was a bit hesitant to even bother trying them on, but I gave it a try.  I couldn't believe that I could fit into those again!  Even though I loved it I didn't buy the jeans.  I told myself once I reach my 105 goal, then I'll allow myself to buy a few new outfits.
Aside from no longer eating my favorite foods, I'll try to be more strict with my diet.  From now on (unless I'm out for dinner or something) I'll no longer eat after 7pm, try to exercise more, etc.  I just need to stay focus and keep my eye on the prize!
Let the "lent" begin!
A few of my girl friends and I have decided to do our own version of "lent."  However, instead of it lasting just 40 days, it'll be until the new year!  I believe we can all do it especially considering what the consequences are if we fail.  (LOL!)  Anyways, starting at 12am tomorrow until 12am Jan 1, 2012 we will not have any starbucks (water is the only exception) and sodas.  Also, each of us gave up other food items (but we'll be able to eat those items just once a week because let's face it, it'd be too hard giving it up for the remainder of this year).  For me, I'm giving up chocolate and ice cream.  I consume those almost every single day so it'll be quite a change just being able to have it once a week, but I know it'll be for the better.  Also, this should definitely help me get to my goal weight much faster.  My husband told me my limit is 110 lbs, but I think I'm gonna change it to 105 lbs.  Let's do this!
Keeping Daddy Close
For some reason my hubby was nicknamed Eeyore by his family.  So before Alyssa was born we started to collect the Winnie The Pooh character dolls from the Disney stores.  So far she only has Tigger and Piglet.  We figured we'd buy the rest when she's older and knows who they are.  But since daddy is far away now I decided to buy her a mini Eeyore blanket to symbolize keeping daddy close and knowing that he loves and misses her vey much. <333
Happy 7 months!
Baby girl spent almost the entire day with Uncle.  =)
She's still learning how to hold her bottle and drink from it properly.
Such a happy girl eating green beans.
Yeah...Uncle did her hair..  LOL.
Tiffany's, Snow Factory, and Sushi Company (05/22/11)
Today I finally hanged out with one of my good guy friends.  It's been a while since we got to hang out so it was nice.  (Sorry for the lack of pictures).  First we decided to go to Ala Moana and check out Tiffany's.  While walking through the food court I bumped into my in-laws so we sat down with them for a bit to talk.  I wish I brought my daughter so they could have saw her but she was at home since my brother offered to babysit.
Anyways, it was my second time ever visiting Tiffany's.  We wanted to see their selection of wedding rings since he's planning to propose to his girl friend soon.  I couldn't believe how expensive their rings cost.  With all of my rings combined (promise ring, engagement ring and wedding band) it was still less compared to one of their cheapest engagement rings.  Gosh!  So crazy.  He didn't buy any of the rings but did get some quotes so he could think more about it.
Next stop was Snow Factory (they don't have an actual site so the link is to their reviews on Yelp).  This place is unique compared to other shave ice places on Hawaii.  They make the ice paper thin so it just melts in your mouth.  The prices are fair and they also provide free dry/crumbled toppings (oreos, chocolate chip cookies, ritz crackers, gummi bears, etc).
My first time at Snow Factory I shared a lycee shave ice with my girl friends.  This time I got their number one regular selling shave ice, Strawberry and Vanilla.  I also added homemade mochi, oreos and chocolate chip cookies.  It was delicious!
On our way home I was still hungry considering the shave ice was all I ate so far.  So we stopped by Sushi Company because their garlic chicken is amazing.  I ordered my usual, the garlic chicken bento.  Both places are located in McCully so if you're ever in the area I suggest trying them out.
